Davis Paint is looking for a dependable, hardworking Paint Maker to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position where you’ll work directly with raw materials and equipment to produce paint and coatings according to established formulas and batch instructions. If you’re starting your career, or even well established in it, this is a chance to learn by doing. You’ll gain hands-on experience with batching, measurements, production equipment, quality, safety, material handling, and the day-to-day processes that keep a manufacturing operation moving.

What You'll Do
Measure and accurately weigh raw materials for paint batches.
Follow batch tickets and fill tickets to ensure products are made according to specifications.
Read measurements and fill levels, including using a yardstick to measure material in tanks.
Perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Lifting bending, stopping, and cutting raw materials, including bags, trays, buckets, and other materials.
Place materials on pallets and prepare products for the next stage of production.
Follow directions from the Foreman and Plant Manager, and receive and respond appropriately to constructive feedback.
Follow all company safety procedures, including hazardous waste handling and RCRA training requirements.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to perform basic math accurately, including reading a yard stick.
Ability to read and follow written instructions.
Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and work on your feet throughout the workday.
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment where conditions may include dust, paint odors, and noise.
Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
Age 18+
What to Expect
This is a hands-on manufacturing environment, and the work can be physically demanding.
You can expect:
Dust and raw material particles during production.
The smell of paint and coatings throughout the workday.
Periods of loud noise where hearing protection is required.
Frequent lifting, bending, and material handling.
Required splash protection and other PPE.
Safety shoes, which are reimbursed up to $70 per year.
Pay & Benefits
Starting pay: $21.75/hour
Full rate of $23.75/hour upon successful completion of six-month probationary period.
Employer contribution healthcare following 60 days of employment.

Vacation time accrual beginning after 1 year of service.
Sick time accrual begins upon start date.

Davis Paint is looking for an experienced and dependable Foreman on the first floor to help lead our filling department and keep production moving safely and efficiently. This role supervises approximately 4–10 employees and works closely with the Plant Manager, other Foremen, Shipping & Receiving, Customer Service, Sales, and Dispatch to make sure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
We're looking for someone who knows manufacturing, can confidently lead a team, and is willing to step in and help get the job done when needed.

What You'll Do
Supervise and assign work to 4–10 employees in the filling department to meet customer demand.
Keep production moving safely and efficiently.
Step in and perform production work when needed to meet customer demand.
Ensure batch, shipping, and receiving paperwork is completed accurately.
Manage finished goods, raw materials, and operating supplies.
Coordinate materials and truck schedules to help meet customer deliveries.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient first-floor work area.
Conduct daily inspections of material-handling equipment.
Work with other Foremen to manage staffing and production priorities.
Provide direction, coaching, and feedback to employees.
Communicate with Plant Management, Customer Service, Sales, Dispatch, and other departments.
Follow company safety procedures, policies, and work rules.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
Required:
At least 2 years of experience in filling, chemical handling, batch making, or a related manufacturing environment.
Ability to work safely around chemicals, raw materials, and production equipment.
Ability to read and complete production paperwork accurately.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Ability to prioritize work and keep production moving.
Preferred:
Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
Experience working in a paint, coatings, chemical, food production, or similar manufacturing environment.
Experience with filling operations, batching, material handling, or production equipment.
Pay & Benefits
Starting pay: $25.20 - $28/hour
Hours: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Overtime as needed to meet customer orders.Pay based on qualifications and experience.
